Cargo pants

For ages, the pants for women were not even accepted in the traditional culture. In 1980`s Amelia Bloomer tried to show up the idea of bloomers for women, she was rejected by the society from the outset. Pant was a cloth for men. But the cargo pants have not only broke that culture apart, but introduced a unisex pant. The cargo pant is common for both men and women.
The time has changed a lot. During the war time when men went for war, the women took the men`s work at the houses. This needed a change in the dressing as well to allow the work to be done. This was the breakthrough that the pants needed to get into women`s clothing. Even after the war the tradition continued and women started wearing pants.
Later, a military style trouser was introduced to the market. Companies such as Tommy Hilfiger and Old Navy started marketing these cargo pants really well in 1990`s. these cargo pants came with the unique design of pockets at the side in legs.
It became very popular among women as well. They can choose it to be tight and cropped to wear with stiletto heels or to be baggy to wear it with a tight t-shirt. It depends on the requirement of the person.  Read the rest of this entry »
